Alan's unique background spanning both creative direction & visual identity led him to the creation of PETROL and what he saw as the Strategic Artists’ Union; along with Ben Granados, he started PETROL because they wanted to put their blood, sweat and resources into doing great work. Alan’s die hard passion and work ethic is contagious, and runs through the veins of PETROL. More than 10 years after founding the agency, Alan's passion is rooted in growing the agency and the brands PETROL represents.
A co-founder with over 15 years of experience in the video game industry and a true passion for what’s next, Ben is constantly striving for excellence and passing along best practices to our clients in a highly evolving and competitive marketplace. Utilizing his knowledge of the creative aspects of marketing, Ben’s innovation and commitment to excellence have seen him launch countless campaigns that led to record-breaking revenues in the video game industry.
Patrick has helped launch some of the largest, award-winning RPG franchises in the U.S. market on the client side before joining PETROL®. He prides himself on being able to manage at the macro and micro-level, applying his knowledge base to brand new IP’s to franchised titles. Patrick works closely with Alan and Ben in deepening PETROL’s® growing relationships with game developers, in addition to overseeing PETROL’s® social media and PR initiatives.
With over 10 years in the consumer electronics and gaming industry, Wendy works on fully integrated marketing campaigns at PETROL® employing innovative digital strategies and tactics every chance she gets. Wendy has spearheaded efforts for some of PETROL’s® biggest clients, such as the Destiny and Call of Duty franchises. Wendy currently oversees a team dedicated to both games and consumer products.
As one of the most versatile and experienced account executives at PETROL®, Sam draws on over 8 years of experience in the advertising industry to consistently exceed client expectations. Fueled by his love of sports and gaming, Sam nimbly maintains the perfect balance between the “big picture” strategic direction and day-to-day tactical management of high-profile gaming publisher/developer accounts.
Greg’s knowledge of games, color and the print process are an invaluable asset to PETROL® and its clients. Working closely with designers and art directors to produce final, print-ready mechanicals that meet all technical requirements while maintaining their creative integrity, Greg and his team are responsible for reviewing all print creative before release to ensure adherence to all vendor specifications as well as client brand guidelines.
At PETROL®, Chris has led the strategic media planning and buying on countless global campaigns, each time innovating new and unique media oportunities. Chris and his team are focused on a combination of paid, earned, and owned media to develop plans laser-targeted and maximizing each of his clients’ buys. Most recently, Chris has been leading our agency’s Media Agency of Record strategic initiatives for BANDAI NAMCO Games America and Turtle Beach.
Myles is a highly creative, seasoned Production Manager/Artist with over ten years of experience and works closely with the various departments at PETROL® in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of materials to our clients. His ability to work collaboratively and deliver multiple projects from beginning to end under tight and changing deadlines, his cool head under pressure, and his relentless work ethic make him an invaluable member of our team.
Marie has managed the Human Resources and Accounting department since joining PETROL® in 2007. With over ten years of experience, Marie has worked in numerous industries in both the public and private sectors. Her goal while at PETROL is not only to bring the best service to its clients, but also to facilitate prompt and helpful assistance to each and every employee during their tenure at PETROL®.
Evan works as the Producer of our photo shoots and is a huge asset in maximizing efficiency and value for our clients. He ensures that our photo department runs as a well-oiled machine, and is constantly exceeding even the highest of expectations. Evan also maintains Petrol’s high creative standard by working closely with our clients – ensuring that the execution of the art direction and the Client’s vision are properly aligned. He is on the ground floor of projects and works hard to help develop, produce and execute the creative vision while ensuring that our photo shoots remain at the creative cutting-edge of the industry.
A self-admitted video game junkie currently in recovery, Karl spent his childhood developing a love for art through comics and cartoons while becoming fascinated with the electronic worlds of games. Karl has now been supplying PETROL® with a rare, potent mix of illustration and design innovation for over 7 years.
With years of experience spanning consumer products, gaming, and tech, Andrea has helped spearhead the creative efforts behind global campaigns for Turtle Beach and WD, among others. As an Associate Creative Director, Andrea helps lead creative teams in cross-platform initiatives spanning print, digital, and AV executions.
Alex brings a highly-developed technical expertise, backed by years of firsthand experience, in serving as the lead developer for our interactive department. He serves as the lead developer for all of our key client projects, while finding elegant technical solutions for any and all client marketing challenges.
With over twenty years experience in motion picture, brand and games marketing, Stephen is an award-winning writer/producer who has a talent for finding a product’s heartbeat and crafting it into powerful, persuasive global marketing campaigns. Stephen’s work has spanned a variety of cross-platform campaign initiatives across many brands and entertainment properties.
John is PETROL’s in-house director and an integral part of all AV initiatives. For live action shoots, he works with the creative team to develop a script and storyboards, and then takes the lead on preproduction, casting, directing, and editing. From kids living out their Power Ranger fantasies to off the wall college dorm antics, John’s versatility and creative energy knows no bounds.
With a background in architecture, animation, and special effects, Tommy turns character sketches, concepts, and storyboards into 3D characters, props, and environments. Tommy regularly builds entire worlds, and the people who live inside them for PETROL campaigns.
Ellen is a seasoned media professional with deep experience in planning, buying and developing robust media strategies for many of PETROL’s biggest clients, including BANDAI NAMCO Games America and Turtle Beach. Along with ensuring client’s products are seen by the right person at the right time, Ellen advises on new business strategies and is our Entertainment and Digital guru.
