SEGA reached out to us for Judgment and Lost Judgment to imbue the titles with a crime thriller DNA unique to this Yakuza Franchise spin-off and to feature Japanese icon Takuya Kimura in the visual identity.

In recent years, the Yakuza franchise has expanded from the mainline series into spin-offs that explore other sides of the crime family (Like A Dragon) and the Law (Judgment/Lost Judgment).
Evolving Identity
As is the case with many of our Japanese clients, this product is steeped in Japanese culture, lore and history so we were tasked with finding ways to make that palatable to western audiences for Judgment and for the worldwide international audience in the sequel, Lost Judgment.
Stoking the Fires
Our efforts helped launch a brand new title and ensured that its sequel started strong with fans that love everything that Ryu Ga Kotoku Studios makes.
