PETROL was briefed by ACTIVISION to reveal the KEY ART for MWII in a way that reflected the immense scale of the game and in a way it had never been done before.

TEAM PETROL pitched the concept of FACES OF WAR to be revealed through the actual voices and characters in MWII on a massive scale. Working with ACTIVISION, INFINITY WARD and REMARKABLE Studios, we printed out 90,000 sq.ft. of vinyl and took over the PORT of SAN PEDRO. The reveal was covered live by PR, INFLUENCERS and shot with a series of Drone Cameras and Pilots.

Team PETROL, Activision, and Infinity Ward have been awarded the “GRAPHIS GLOBAL PLATINUM AWARD” and “GOLD AWARDS” for the CALL OF DUTY MWII Campaign Visual Identity and Reveal Trailer Launch.
The Announce Video was trending on the top page on YOUTUBE for several days and was covered by over 50 media outlets. Fans, Influencers and Press were posting videos analyzing the Reveal Stunt for any clues and easter eggs. The entire initiative was considered an amazing success bringing CALL OF DUTY: MWII back to the fans who love the franchise and well beyond.
